Seiyuus appreciation series: Yūki Kaji

Yuki Kaji’s Rival/Villain roles

Born in 1985, Yūki Kaji is currently one of the most active anime voice actors in Japan. His early appearances in anime series are from 2006 while his real breakthrough is in 2012/2013 with the roles of Issei Hyodo in High School DxD and Eren Jaeger from Attack on Titan, both of which earned him a Seiyuu Award as best actor in a leading role.

Yuki Kaji’s vocal tone is perfect for performing sullen and resolute young men, that’s why he often stars as fiery teenage warrior but he is also very versatile and successfully played either more mature and gloomy characters or super cheerful, weird ones.
